Protocol Description
This study is an international clinical trial sponsored by the National Cancer Institute of Canada. Women will be assigned by chance to take an investigational drug or a placebo for 5 years.
Eligibility Criteria
You may be eligible if:

You have never been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer

You are 60 years old or older or
-
You are 35 to 59 years old and have not had a period for 12 months or have had both ovaries removed and have certain risk factors for breast cancer (study staff will calculate risk)

You are not in any other research studies

You are not taking any type of hormone therapy
