The GW Medical Faculty Association is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) physician group practice corporation comprising the academic clinical faculty of The George Washington University Medical Center. In its seventh year of existence, the MFA has gown to include over 280 physicians providing medical care in 41 specialty areas. The MFAs mission is to provide excellence and expertise in patient care, medical education and scientific, clinical research. The MFA is responsible for the medical education of nearly 700 Medical Students, more than 400 interns, residents and fellows while treating an average of 1,500 patients a day. We dont just practice medicine, we teach it to the next generation of physicians and explore new treatment and management opportunities. We are also in the forefront in modernizing the practice of medicine by adapting and implementing new technology to improve patient care. The MFA is the largest and most comprehensive multi-specialty practice group in the District of Columbia that is conveniently located in a 316,000 square-foot facility.

The MFA strives to combine the newest technology with personal care and compassion. World-renowned physicians teach the most current medical knowledge to insure that the physicians of tomorrow will be prepared to fulfill their mission and goals. Additionally, through our Continuing Medical Education classes we strive to keep the physicians of our community and the world as current in medical knowledge as they need to be.

The MFA has been on the cutting edge of implementing a unique Electronic Health Record that has allowed the practice to be paperless while protecting patient confidentiality. We are the first national site to fully implementing TouchWorks version 11, which is fulfilling the promise of using electronics to improve patient care.

We welcome you to the MFA as a visitor, patient, prospective employee or referring physician and hope your experience with us is informative.
