Scheduling an appointment
The MFA's appointment line receives an average of 6,000 calls per week. You can avoid long hold times with the following tips:

  • Monday is the busiest day for our phone operators with more than 1,600 calls coming in each week. Typically , Thursday and Friday are "slower" days, and we recommend that you call after 2:00pm if possible to avoid the lunch calls.
  • Have your insurance card available when you call to schedule an appointment.
  • If you are scheduling a physical, considered a "well" visit, please allow for 4-6 weeks.
  • If you are ill and require immediate assistance, operators will connect you to a triage nurse and provide you with a same day appointment when appropriate.

Day of appointment

  • Parking is available in the 22nd & I Streets Garage adjacent to the South Lobby.
  • Please bring your insurance card with you.
  • If you are covered by an insurance/managed care health plan the Medical Faculty Associates participates with, you are financially responsible for the yearly deductibles and/or co-payments at the time of service.
  • If you are obtaining services that are not covered by your insurance/managed care health plan, full payment of charges are expected at the time of service.
  • An ATM has been installed in the South Lobby (22nd & I Streets) for the convenience of our patients.
