In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a process by which egg cells are fertilized outside the womb. The treatment begins with fertility drug treatments to stimulate egg production. The eggs are extracted from the ovaries and are placed in a culture rich with sperm. The fertilized egg, or embryo, is implanted in the uterus in an effort to establish a successful pregnancy.
