Zayn Copeland, MD is an Internist with The GW Medical Faculty Associates and an assistant professor of Internal Medicine. She has lived, studied and worked in the DC area since 2001 after moving from the Midwest to begin her undergraduate studies. She completed her residency training in 2009 at George Washington University Hospital and began practicing at The GW MFA with a focus in primary care, peri-operative medicine, and academic mentorship. As an assistant professor at GW, she continues to foster her love for education, mentoring and precepting both medical students and residents.
Dr. Copeland’s interest in weight management has emerged from her experience helping patients and herself overcome the challenges of obesity. She believes in a personalized approach to weight management, as not all strategies work for every patient, and looks forward to helping patients actualize their goals.
Dr. Copeland is board-certified in Internal Medicine.
