Andrew S. Neviaser, M.D. is an orthopaedist at The GW Medical Faculty Associates and an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He is a specialist in surgery of the shoulder and elbow. His interests include rotator cuff disease, total shoulder replacement, shoulder instability, fractures, and sports-related shoulder and elbow injuries.
Dr. Neviaser is a graduate of Amherst College and received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center under Dr. Evan Flatow.
Dr. Neviaser has authored scientific articles and textbook chapters. He is actively involved in research of the rotator cuff, arthroscopic treatment of biceps tendon disease, and minimally invasive treatment of proximal humerus fractures.
