Dr. Rajeev Pandarinath
About Dr. Rajeev Pandarinath

Rajeev Pandarinath, MD is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and an assistant professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.   Dr. Pandarinath attended  medical school at the University of North Carolina and completed his residency training at University of California Los Angeles Medical Center,.  He then completed a subspecialty training with the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University, where he served as an assistant team physician for the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies, as well as St. Joe’s University and various area high schools.


Dr. Pandarinath specializes in shoulder and knee surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and orthopedic sports medicine.  He is the senior sports medicine surgeon at George Washington University, and the orthopedic team physician for the George Washington University Athletic Department.  He has a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. 


Dr. Pandarinath’s approach to treating patients is to individualize a plan of care based on the patient’s own expectations and desired activity level.  He strongly believes that recovery involves a team approach with involvement of the orthopedic surgeon, physical therapist, and most importantly, the patient.


In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Pandarinath is extensively involved in teaching residents and medical students at George Washington University.  He sees patients and performs surgeries in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
