The physicians in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery are leaders in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgical services. Our physicians specialize in reconstructive surgery following cancer treatment with an emphasis on immediate and delayed breast reconstruction after mastectomy. We work closely with the GW Breast Care Center to provide a team approach to patient care with comprehensive consultations to discuss reconstructive options. We perform state of the art autologous reconstruction including TRAM, DIEP and latissimus flaps using your own tissues, as well as prosthetic reconstruction using saline-filled or silicone gel-filled implants. We believe strongly that the choice of reconstruction should be individualized and that no one operation is right for every patient. Our team will follow you closely through all phases of your treatment and recovery.
Specializing also in Breast Reduction, Breast Lifts, Breast Augmentation, Abdominoplasty, Liposuction, and Body Contouring after Massive Weight Loss, we work with you to achieve the optimal aesthetic outcome. We also provide a wide spectrum of other Cosmetic Procedures, including surgical and non-invasive facial rejuvenation procedures.
The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery offers comprehensive cosmetic and reconstructive surgical services with an emphasis on helping an individual make the best decision for his or her specific needs. We strive to provide outstanding patient education regarding the surgical and non-surgical options available and the benefits and risks involved. Consistently recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as leaders in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, our surgeons are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
