Dr. Bittner is an assistant professor of Radiology at The GWU School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her Medical Training at UCLA and USC, including a Fellowship in Neuroradiology. She is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology, by the American Board of Radiology.
Prior to joining GWU, Dr. Bittner was in private practice for 17 years in a wide variety of hospital-based and outpatient settings in the Los Angeles area. This included five years dedicated to Breast imaging and Intervention. She joined GWU and the MFA in 2007. She has maintained her broad focus in Radiology, attending in Body Imaging (CT, US, and MRI), Neuroradiology, and Breast Imaging. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Dr. Bittner has a special interest in Radiology Education of Medical Students, Postgraduate Physicians and Patients and is a member of the Alliance of Clinician-Educators in Radiology, part of the Association of University Radiologists. She serves as the Associate Program Director for the Radiology Residency Program at The George Washington University Hospital.
Dr. Bittner provides Mammography services for the medically underserved in the Washington, DC region as an interpreting radiologist in the GW Mammovan program.
