Switching to Progressively Reduced Nicotine Content Cigarettes in Smokers with Lower Socioeconomic Status

The goal of this randomized control trial is to learn whether reduced nicotine content cigarettes can lessen or eliminate nicotine dependence among Black and White low SES adult smokers in DC. Participants will be given the opportunity to try nicotine replacement therapy for eleven weeks after the trial period.
