The Travelers' Clinic at The GW Medical Faculty Associates specializes in helping people plan safe and healthy trips. The clinic's highly experienced physicians and staff provide travel-related consultations that include:

  • Immunization and Health Certification - For travel anywhere in the world
  • Prescriptions – If needed, for the prevention of the diseases such as malaria
  • Travel Education - To help you avoid illnesses while abroad
  • Individualized Care - Based on your healthcare needs, and on the geographic and climatic conditions of your unique itinerary

Immunization requirements vary from country to country and, in some cases, are dictated by government regulation. That is why the medical staff at the Travelers' Clinic keeps up-to-the-minute data on vaccination requirements and recommendations for most travel destinations. They are a Certified Yellow Fever Vaccination Clinic, and are authorized by the Public Health Service to validate certificates of vaccination for immunizations and injections administered.

The Travelers' Clinic is also a resource for potential parents planning to adopt children from other countries, offering pre-travel recommendation regarding possible infectious diseases.

The Travelers' Clinic staff will do everything possible to help you enjoy a safe and healthy journey. Should you fall ill, become infected, or suffer injury while traveling, however, the Clinic's skilled medical staff is well-versed at providing the diagnosis and treatments needed.
