Annu Sharma, DO is a physiatrist and instructor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) in the Department of Neurology at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She is part of the management and practice of the inpatient rehabilitation department of the George Washington University Hospital and provides outpatient services with Medical Faculty Associates.
In the inpatient setting, she serves with the rehabilitation team to restore disorders of function in patients transitioning from acute hospital care to the community. In the outpatient setting, she uses non-surgical measures to manage pain and dysfunction with regards to diseases of the bone, joint, muscle, and nervous system.
Dr. Sharma spent many years training in the city of Philadelphia, completing medical education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) and residency with Temple University Hospital and Moss Rehabilitation Hospital. She is eager to expand PM&R services within the hospital and to provide medical education to the residents and students of the GWU School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) and the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOCPMR).
