Ehsan Nobakht is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at the George Washington University. Dr.Nobakht is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

He was voted "Fellow of the Year" of the Department of Medicine, George Washington University in 2013. Dr. Nobakht's clinical activities include management of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, electrolytes disturbances and resistant hypertension. He provides care to patients who need kidney replacement therapies such as hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Dr. Nobakht's research interests include immune complex associated kidney diseases as well as Kidney Ultrasonography. He has published in peer reviewed journals such as Nature Reviews Nephrology and American Journal of Kidney Diseases.
