Ioanna Athanasiadis Comstock, MD, is an Obstetrician & Gynecologist at The GW Medical Faculty Associates and an assistant professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
Dr. Comstock is originally from New Haven, Connecticut and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Boston College. Upon graduating from college, she joined a basic science research lab at Yale University studying leukemias. She completed medical school at the Rosalind Franklin University/The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois where she discovered her passion for OB/GYN. She completed her OB/GYN residency at The George Washington University Hospital, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Comstock has authored several scientific publications and has a particular interest in infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome, minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, and medical education. She is dedicated to the education of medical students and residents and has been granted several awards for her excellence in teaching.
Dr. Comstock is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
