Kathryn Humm, MD is a native of Bethesda, MD. She graduated with a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University.  She then earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Dr. Humm completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA where she served as the Administrative Chief Resident and won numerous teaching awards from Harvard Medical School.

She then completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/ Harvard Medical School and Boston IVF.  During her fellowship, she completed her post-doctoral research with Dr. Kevin Eggan at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute and published her study on DNA methylation in the Preimplantation Human Embryo in Nature.

She is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).  She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She has been selected by her peers as one of Washingtonian magazine's Top Docs.

Dr. Humm’s clinical interests include secondary infertility, improving IVF outcomes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and recurrent pregnancy loss.  Her interests also include the preservation of fertility for male and female survivors of cancer, as well as those who are undergoing treatment for cancer.
