Biography

Patrick Conway, DO is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Business at Purdue University prior to completing a post-baccalaureate program at Loyola University Chicago and earning his Medical Degree at Midwestern University. He went on to complete his Residency in Internal Medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago. Patrick and his wife Sarah then moved to Charleston, SC, where he practiced as a Hospitalist at Roper Hospital for two years. He is a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician and is licensed in the District of Columbia and the State of South Carolina.

During his time in South Carolina, Dr. Conway became an Associate Professor at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and began teaching medical students. He always maintained a love for the DC area, where he and his wife would travel often to catch Nationals games and wander through countless museums. His love of teaching will continue as he now transitions into his role of Assistant Professor and Hospitalist at George Washington University.

Dr. Conway's mission is to teach tomorrow's physicians and to continue practicing compassionate, patient-focused, hospital-based medicine. Dr. Conway prides himself on ensuring that patients and their loved ones are not only kept up-to-date on current guidelines but also play a vital role in their own healthcare decision-making.
