Robert Kruger, MD is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor with The George Washington School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

He is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis in 1999 where he published several articles in the field of lung transplantation. After relocating to Washington, Dr. Kruger served as  assistant clinical professor of Medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine.  He has been actively involved in teaching residents and medical students throughout his career and volunteers his time at the Arlington Free Clinic.

Dr. Kruger is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He has been recognized by Washington Consumers’ Checkbook as a Top-Rated Primary Care Physician. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, pulmonary diseases, fitness, and exercise testing.
