Connie M. Chung, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
Dr. Chung completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University with a B.A. in Chemistry. She received her Medical Degree and PhD in Biophysics with a strong interest in Protein Structure in the MD-PhD Dual Degree Program at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Chung then completed her Internship in Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital followed by Residency Training in Dermatology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Sciences. She served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Chung is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 2007.
Prior to joining The GW Medical Faculty Associates, Dr. Chung was a Dermatologist in the Department of Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, Massachusetts from 2007-2014. She was also on faculty at Harvard Medical School as an Instructor in Dermatology. She has trained residents, taught Harvard Medical Students and presented at American Academy of Dermatology and World Congress of Dermatology. She practiced in Seattle, Washington from 2015-2016 before moving to Washington D.C.
Dr. Chung practices both general medical and surgical dermatology. Her current interest include skin cancer, dysplastic nevi, melanoma, acne and rosacea.
