About Marsha Stalcup

Marsha G. Stalcup is an associate clinical professor and Senior Faculty Midwife at The GW Medical Faculty Associates.  She has been practicing midwifery for 21 years; initially in Atlanta and for the past 11 years in the DC/MD area.  She has extensive experience precepting students and residents for Emory University, Georgetown University and University of Maryland, among others.  Marsha is a published author in the area of common discomforts of pregnancy.

Marsha has a deep interest in supporting natural childbirth, primary cesarean prevention, vaginal birth after cesarean, and complimentary and alternative therapies.  Additionally, she is devoted to global maternal/child health and has served as a mentor and teacher in midwifery training programs in Kenya and Haiti.

Marsha is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
